For security of dam safety, a variety of expert skills such as geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, geology, hydraulics, hydrology, mechanical engineering, electricity, environmental engineering and so on are needed. So, it is important to develop the guideline which is easy to understand and available. Especially, the guideline for dam safety could provide the information about the items which are considered in case of design, construction and post-construction and could increase the life of the existing dam by the proper management actions. The purpose of this research is to develop the technical guideline for dam safety, which is needed to prevent the dam safety problems and mitigate the disaster risk for dam safety, and to recommend the skill for investigation, analysis and application included in the developed guideline.
