The performance of zero-valent iron in combination with three different materials namely, coconut granular activated carbon, sepiolite, and filtralite, was assessed for nitrate removal from water, The three systems investigated in this study. The efficiency of FeO for nitrate removal increased up to 5 times after HCl treatment. The nitrate removal was studied as a function of contact time, concentration and temperature. |
