Today, the power utilities are setting on the slow load growth and the aging of powerequipment, and then could spend the efforts on the stability of system performance. Understructure of vertically integrated power industry, great cost has been spent to enhancingreliability of such power utilities. Also considerable efforts have been devoted to riskassessment of power system. This paper presents a method of the risk assessment for thepower equipment. The important aim of the risk assessment is to develop an assetmanagement model that combine results from the different tests and give an overall decisionmakingfor asset management. This paper shows the application of advance assetmanagement considering the risk assessment for power equipment. The primary goal of thisresearch is to develop a standard algorithm for an efficient replacement of equipment ofpower system owned and operated by power utility. The proposed method will be expected toplay an important role in investment decision making considering the risk assessment. |
