In development of floating photovoltaic generationsystem, finding a suitable place of installation is as important asdevelopment of economically feasible and stable structure. Especiallysince floating photovoltaic system has its facility floating on watersurface, it is extremely important to review the effects of weatherconditions such as wind, water flow and floating matters, variousfactors (such as fogs) that can reduce generation efficiency, possibilityof connection with power system, and legal restrictions. The method ofinvestigating suitable area and resource for development oftracking-type floating photovoltaic generation system was proposed inthis paper, which can be used for development of floating and oceanphotovoltaic system in the future.
