The objective of this study is to develop a low and green technology facility that does not need power in its operation and chemicals in its maintenance.Another objective of this study is to find best media size, media depth and hydraulic retention time for the removal of contaminant in the river water.So, a column experiment was performed to investigate the removal of turbidity, organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus according to media size and media depth.The influent raw water was river water. The name of the river is Pyeonggang in Korea.Construction of column was 2 set and one set was consist of 3 reactors of each reactor dimension was D 0.15 m * H 1.5 m.
