Recent abnormal climate events such as floods and typhoons pose significant threats to dam safety, and the aging rate of dams is increasing. This study focuses on geotechnical investigations and health evaluations of aging dams. Using Dam A as the case study, a variety of geotechnical investigation methods including 3D electrical resistivity surveys, drilling investigations, and geophysical logging were employed to analyze the internal condition. Moreover, systematic approaches for dam health assessment were discussed.
