The Smart Water City (SWC) Frameworks and Certification Schemes with two-pillar structure (Technical and Governance & Perspective Pillars) have been guided by three organizations (K-water, IWRA and AWC) in order to support cities in providing safe and affordable urban water services, as well as improving the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of urban water management. K-water focuses on developing technical pillar to examine the role of conventional water technologies and ICTs at different stages of stages of the urban water cycle. This study shows the frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs) on technical pillar which measures the effects of human intervention in water services provision and urban ecosystems, as well as indicators how intelligent technologies can improve urban water management.
