| Analysis the effect of water reflection with Bifacial Module in Floating PV |

Bifacial modules have an optical advantage of greater light collection over mono-facial modules. For this reason, there has been a growing interest in bifacial photovoltaic technology because it promises higher performance yield and lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE) compared to mono-facial PV technology. In this study, the effect of the bifacial module compared with mono-facial module of the floating photovoltaic (FPV) which is located by valley of reservoir nearby Dam in South Korea are described. The system is consisted of mono-facial module, bifacial modules, micro-inverter for checking power of each module and insolation for measuring irradiation and reflection of water. With a result, Bifacial gain with power generation of bifacial PV are 4~5% and performance ratio are 3.8~ 4%. Bifacial gain with only water reflection had ~1.95% . |
