Floating Photovoltaic (FPV) systems, a relatively new technology compared to land-based PV. FPV systems are increasingly contributing to global decarbonization and clean energy efforts. As photovoltaic adoption expands, maintenance and operation of FPV system becomes crucial for large-scale applications. This necessitates a deeper understanding of failure mechanisms, particularly those related to humidity [1], to inform design and manufacturing processes, as FPV systems have additional components like floating modules, support structures, pontoon, underwater cable, compared to their land-based PV. However, the limited number of organizations with operational experience in FPV has resulted in a lack of comprehensive understanding regarding potential failures and effective solutions. 
This paper aims to share insights on defect in floating PV systems in a field and further discuss the solution for preventing to address them
